Get More Resume Help

Looking for more help with your resume? Try these resources:

  • Your local American Job Center can assist you with skills assessment, job search strategies, resume-writing, and more. Find an American Job Center near you.
  • Your public library is also a great resource, so check its website or drop by. You’ll find an array of resume and job search books, and many libraries offer free resume-writing and job search workshops. Locate your local public library at America's Service Locator.
  • Most colleges and universities have career centers. If you’re a graduate, you may be eligible for free career counseling and resume-writing assistance. Even if you’re not a graduate, services may be available for a modest fee.
  • A professional resume writer may be able to help, but check his or her credentials first. To learn more, visit the National Resume Writers Association website. There you can learn what to look for and how to locate a certified resume writer.
