This section contains a report listing key demographic, workforce, economic, housing and other characteristics of a local area.

Area Profiles

Area profile reports are available for states, metropolitan areas and counties.  Local area searches will return a table of demographic, workforce, economic housing and other characteristics of the county and metropolitan area (if available) associated with the city or ZIP Code entered.

State reports can be obtained by entering a state name.

Data source:

Local area profiles come from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey(ACS) Data reflect a 2008 release.  A planned update of Area Profiles to 2011 data is scheduled for late 2012 or early 2013.
