Help: Unemployment Rates

This section contains three reports outlining unemployment rates. Note, even though you have entered an occupation, all unemployment rates are reported for workers in all industries and occupations. Local unemployment rates are not available by occupation. Unemployment reports can be viewed in table, chart and map formats.

Unemployment Rates

View Table

Unemployment rate tables are available for states, regions (including metropolitan areas) and counties.  In some cases data are not available for sub-state regions.

View Charts

Unemployment rate charts are available for states, regions (including metropolitan areas) and counties.  In some cases data are not available for sub-state regions.

View Maps

State, regional and county unemployment rate maps are available.  In some cases data are not available for sub-state regions. Mouse over the state, region or county to view the name of the area and the unemployment rates.

Data source:

The Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) program produces monthly and annual employment, unemployment, and labor force data for Census regions and divisions, States, counties, metropolitan areas, and many cities, by place of residence.
