Returning to civilian life after military service is different for every person. A wide variety of services exist to make this transition as smooth as possible. This three-day workshop is available for those separating from the military beginning 12 months prior to separation. Individuals retiring from active duty can begin receiving services 24 months prior to retirement. TAP is offered to all military branches through a partnership among the Departments of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Homeland Security, and Labor’s Veterans' Employment and Training Service (VETS). Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVER) and Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) representatives can help veterans with benefits.
