Purpose:

To provide sufficient funding to cover round-trip air transportation, living allowance, mentoring and a home base in Egypt for doctoral candidates in the all-but-dissertation stage and senior scholars conducting more advanced research.

Focus:

Anthropology; Archeology; Architecture; Art; Economics; History; Humanities; Literature; Political science; Religion.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be American pre-doctoral candidates (ABD), postdoctoral scholars, faculty and senior scholars at universities worldwide; fellowships are for a minimum stay of three months and maximum stay of 12 months; U.S. citizenship is required.

Criteria:

Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.
