JOB DESCRIPTION: A veterinary technician works under the supervision of a veterinarian to perform routine animal care, surgical preparation, laboratory analysis, and other animal-related activities. Often the technician's duties include grooming and feeding animals, organizing surgical instruments, and assisting with scheduling appointments. Veterinarians may also request the technician to assist them in administering medication and conducting research. Animal technicians normally work for privately owned veterinary clinics, colleges, or universities.
