Award Type Prize
Purpose To support licensed amateur radio operators pursuing postsecondary education in a STEM field.
Focus Engineering; Mathematics and mathematical sciences; Science; Technology.
Qualifications Applicant must be an active, licensed amateur radio operator of Active Technician Class or higher; must reside in the general coverage areas of ECARS including ARRL Atlantic, Great Lakes, Hudson, New England, and Roanoke Divisions (CT, DE, KY, ME, MD/DC, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, VT, VA, WV); must be attending a two- or four-year undergraduate institution and pursuing a degree in a STEM field.
Criteria The ARRL Foundation Scholarship Committee will review all applicants and make selections. Applicants should generally be between the ages of 17 and 25 at the time of the award, but older applicants retraining in a changing job market will be given consideration.
